CROW RESERVATION , Montana - The Crow and Northern Cheyenne communities have taken a significant step to address the healthcare crisis on the reservation by unveiling a new housing facility dedicated to a late Crow nurse. This facility will provide much-needed housing for medical professionals at the Crow and Northern Cheyenne Hospital.
The Medicine Spotted Beads Memorial Building aims to retain doctors and nurses to treat people on the reservation. The building is named after Susie Walking Bear Yellowtail, the first Crow registered nurse and a major advocate for the community.
