Stuart Fire Rescue battles brush fires caused by recent lightning strikes

Fire rescue crews are responding to brush fires that were reportedly caused by recent lightning strikes.

The Stuart Police Department says the brush fires are in the area of Lexington Lakes and Central Parkway, but there is no threat to homes or businesses.

They say if drivers or residents notice smoke, not to be alarmed. They are monitoring the area.
