Clark County Public Health on Thursday lifted its algae advisory at Round Lake in Camas, but the danger advisory for Vancouver Lake remains in place.
Water quality and toxin levels have improved at Round Lake over the past two weeks. However, Public Health encourages people swimming and recreating in the lake to avoid contact with floating scum. Pets should not drink or have contact with water with floating scum.
Warning signs are being removed at Round Lake, but harmful algal blooms could return. Harmful algae blooms produce elevated levels of cyanotoxins that are toxic to animals and humans.
