A car crash not far from Kingston Police Department headquarters left both drivers and a passenger with minor injuries at the intersection of Garraghan Drive and Koenig Boulevard South.

Kingston resident Jermale R. Gant, 46, ignored a red light and continued on into the intersection, where he collided with 58-year-old Garnerville resident Althea Dowie’s 2023 Volkswagen. Police said the incident occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27.

Gant received a ticket for running the red light, and all three people involved in the crash were taken to HealthAlliance hospital for further evaluation after complaining about pain. Tags: members
