CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Bishop McCort students participated in the Turn the Towns Teal project today, hanging teal bows around Cambria County to raise awareness about ovarian cancer.

This marks the 12th consecutive year that students have engaged in the initiative, which aims to educate the public about ovarian cancer, a disease that affects one in every seventy-eight women.

"It's spreading awareness for everybody that does have ovarian cancer or any other cancers because you are not alone," Bishop McCort Senior Amiya Harris said. "It is personal for me because my great-grandma did have ovarian cancer. This is just another step for everybody that does have ovarian cancer."
