CLINTON, Tennessee — For the last few months, Historic Downtown Clinton has been under a major renovation project.
"It's just really hard to be prepared for something of this magnitude. I was not prepared for it, even though I was told all the information; it's just so different when you're in it," said Katherine Birkbeck, executive director for Historic Downtown Clinton.
Birkbeck said the $10 million project has been in the works for the last few years, but construction wasn't able to begin on Market Street until June, and businesses in the area are having to learn to adjust.
"This is the largest project that the City of Clinton has ever taken on. So, we're all moving through it together as best as we can," said Birkbeck.
