PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The unofficial end to summer comes as Portland prepares for another round of high heat next week.
A brief cooling trend this weekend will be a welcome sight for Portlanders. Afternoon highs will fall into the mid-80s, but highs will still remain above the average for the end of August.
Monday, September 1, is the start of meteorological fall and that's when Pacific Northwest temperatures are expected to start warming again. Near record-breaking temperatures are possible as the forecast remains a week out.
