Montville kept its streak alive and picked up where it left off a year ago with a convincing 38-22 win over Sparta on Aug. 28 at Montville High School.

Clement Hofbauer scored three touchdowns − two rushing and one receiving − and the Mustangs defense stepped up and did the rest as the Mustangs notched their third straight win over the Spartans dating back to last season.
