President Donald Trump on Thursday said he is open to a Republican National Convention before the midterm elections.

“It has never been done before. STAY TUNED!!!” the president posted to his Truth Social account Thursday.

Trump’s suggestion comes a day after Democrats announced plans to host a “mini convention” in the lead up to the midterms, Axios reported .

The president said he is open to a midterm convention to bask in the party’s “incredible” result since he took office.

“The Republican Party is doing really well. Millions of people have joined us in our quest to MAKE AMERICA, GREAT AGAIN. We won every aspect of the Presidential Election and, based on the great success we are having, are poised to WIN BIG IN THE MIDTERMS,” Trump posted.
