BOONVILLE, Ind. - Local leaders gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony at the Boonville City Pool Park.
The facility is set to become Warrick County's only public pool and is expected to be a regional aquatic destination.
New features will include an Olympic-sized pool, dual water slides, year-round gathering spaces, and a splash pad.
The project also includes storm water improvements to reduce flooding in the area.
City officials are hopeful the new aquatic center will open for the 2026 summer season.
