Dimitri Likourentzos never thought this day would come — shuttering his beloved Park Plaza Diner in Brooklyn Heights after 42 years.
“They came to say goodbye, and they’re making it less painful for me to let this go,” said Likourentzos, who grew up inside the diner he inherited from his father.
“My father built it in 1982. I’ve been part of it since I was a kid. He wanted to make sure he kept his troublemaker son as close as possible because I was a little energetic. So, it’s been my life, my whole life,” Likourentzos said.
