HOBOKEN, NJ (PIX11) — The PATH Hoboken terminal will close for urgent repairs for five days starting Thursday night, which could impact travelers heading to the city, the beach, or out of town for the holiday weekend.

According to the Port Authority, crews are upgrading the station’s track and interlocking system, which controls train movements between tracks and platforms. The shutdown comes after the terminal closed for a month back in February to address the same issue. One rider said the disruptions are challenging, especially as the area continues to grow.

“It’s very frustrating, especially because they keep building more and more condos here in New Jersey, and the transportation isn’t keeping up,” said commuter Susan Monda.
