COHOES, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Cohoes man was arrested on multiple charges after police said he neglected three dogs.

Investigators with the Albany County Sheriff's Office were called Thursday to a George Street apartment in the city of Cohoes after Cohoes police found three dogs inside that were locked inside separate crates. Police said they were malnourished and left without access to food or water.

The crates were covered in urine and feces and living in filthy and inhumane conditions, according to police. The investigators determined the dogs had faced prolonged neglect.
