Road resurfacing work will close an Interstate 83 exit ramp in Parkton.

The Maryland State Highway Administration will close the ramp from northbound I-83 to York Road on the nights of Sept. 2-3 for ramp resurfacing, weather permitting.
The temporary closure and detour will take effect between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Northbound I-83 commuters will be redirected to the Maryland Route 439\Old York Road exit to get to York Road.
Should there be inclement weather, the work will be moved to Sept. 4 or the next possible weeknight (Sunday through Thursday).
The I-83 paving work is part of a $7.6 million SHA contract to improve pavement on interstate highways in Baltimore County.
