QUINCY — A Quincy woman was arraigned Wednesday morning on charges stemming from a June fire on South Eighth Street.

Paula Johnson, 41, was in court Wednesday with Zachary Clark of the Public Defender's office. She faces charges of aggravated arson knowing people were present as well as two counts of residential arson and two counts of arson to real property causing more than $150 in damage.

The June fire at 808 S. Eighth Street also damaged neighboring buildings.

The aggravated arson charge is classified as Class X felony, the same level as an attempted murder. If convicted, the charge carries a mandatory prison sentence of anywhere from six to thirty years.
