ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - A celebration of the newly completed playground at Gans Park took place in Elkhart.

Once again, the city with a heart produced tangible evidence it knows how to throw a party.

People who showed up for the celebration were treated to free hot dog meals.

The first 100 people who showed up were treated to ice cream, too.

The new playground is part of the city’s Aspire initiative.
