LIVONIA, La. (WAFB) - Parents are still demanding answers after a series of fights at Livonia High School in the first few days of classes left two students hospitalized and led to several arrests.

Videos of the incidents circulated on social media, raising safety concerns among families and prompting the Pointe Coupee Parish School Board to address the issue at a meeting on Thursday, Aug. 28.

Parent Chanda Paul said her daughter was seriously injured in a fight last semester and is still recovering. She urged the board to enforce existing policies more strictly to prevent further violence.
