“When you’re really dialed into details and you’re very deliberate in the way you approach practice, it’s very fatiguing,” Dean told The Sault Star the next day. “So the point was, practice wasn’t really that difficult, but because it’s new, it was more difficult for some, and it’s just giving the guys the idea of this will be the standard moving forward, so get used to it.” Article content Article content

The message seems to have landed, with Dean and general manager Kyle Raftis praising the group’s tempo in the scrimmages following Wednesday.
