BOSSIER CITY, La (KTAL/KMSS) – The I-20 major rehabilitation project in Bossier City reaches a major milestone, according to the Public Information Officer for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Erin Buchanan.

"We will be reopening the I-20 eastbound off-ramp to Barksdale Blvd., so if you're heading eastbound on I-20 and want to exit at Barksdale Blvd., you'll be able to do so Thursday, August 28th," says Buchanan.

With the project approaching its two-year anniversary, construction has been a burden on those who rely on the Barksdale Blvd. exit.

"Having to reroute is something that impacts everyone's daily lives. It adds stress. It adds gas. You have to adjust to everything when you have a major construction project like this one," says Buchanan.
