MONROE, La. (KNOE) - A win is a win, but it wasn’t pretty for ULM in its season opener versus Saint Francis. The Warhawks got off to a slow start before taking over in the second half for a 29 to nothing victory.

ULM was able to pull away late following a multitude of defense stops and a strong overall running game, racking up 311 total rush yards.

Braylon McReynolds opened it up with a 74 yard run in the first quarter before OCS produce Hunter Herring punched it in from 1-yard out. McReynolds led the team with 113 yards on the ground.

Quarterback Aiden Armenta went 12/23 for 95 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

Former OCS quarterback Landon Graves entered the game in the 4th quarter and went 2/3 for 28 yards, including a 19-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Griffin.
