SHELDON — Transmission line upgrades are planned between the High Sheldon Substation and a nearby substation in Erie County.

The project will rebuild and replace a 230-kilovolt line running about 11.3 miles between the two facilities, according to New York State Electric & Gas documents. It will help increase capacity and improve reliability by replacing conductors, insulators, and related structures.
