GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Each of the 11 days of the Nebraska State Fair has a theme, and Thursday was ‘FFA Day.’

The state of Nebraska has over 200 FFA chapters at high schools from border to border, making up the thousands of students who are the future of agriculture, the largest industry in the state.

FFA (Future Farmers of America) is a student organization that is agriculture and leadership based.

Students work closely with their chapter advisors and teammates to compete in different contests throughout the year from land judging to farm business management.

However the main part of FFA that you see on display at the Nebraska State Fair is the students who spend hours raising and caring for animals.
