WAYNE, NE (KCAU) - To kick their season off, the Wildcats of Wayne State College hosted the Lopers of Nebraska-Kearney for the first time in over a decade. But just like last time, Kearney came out on top, winning 28-21.

Big tight end, Dane Petersen, hauled in two of the Wildcats' three touchdowns along with 94 yards on only six receptions.

The Wildcats now look to move on to their week two matchup against the University of Mary at Memorial Stadium on September 6th.
