Edith Elizabeth Cornwell Nantz, 102, resident of Greenwood, widow of Dean L. Nantz went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Wesley Commons Health and Rehabilitation Center of Greenwood.

Born in Murphy NC, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Lillie Humphries Cornwell. A longtime resident of Greenwood, Mrs. Nantz was employed by Oxford Industries and retired from there after many years of service. The last surviving charter member of Laurel Baptist Church, she served the church in numerous capacities throughout the years. She also served the greater Greenwood community by delivering meals-on-wheels into her eighties. She was also an avid gardener and for many years grew and canned her own produce. She was also kept in the company of cats, Pinky and Lucy being her last
