ALPENA — The Alpena Wildcats boys’ tennis team picked up a strong 5-3 victory in their latest match on Thursday at home, showcasing depth and determination across both singles and doubles play.

At the top of the singles lineup, Will Meinhardt battled in a close match at No. 1 but came up short, 4-6, 5-7. However, Alpena quickly bounced back as Nathan Pokorzynski dominated at No. 2 singles with a convincing 6-0, 6-2 win. Dillan Gagnon kept the momentum rolling at No. 3 singles, defeating his opponent 6-1, 6-1, while Zack Cloft secured a win by forfeit at No. 4 singles.
