An A-road just outside of Plymouth is closed due to a landslide this morning, Friday, August 29.
The A379 is closed in both directions between the A3121 and the B3392.
Drivers have been asked to avoid the road while it is cleared.
DevonAlert said: "There is a landslip blocking the A379 south of Modbury. Operatives are working to clear the road. Please find an alterative route"
Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix, also reported the landslide at 6.09am.
It said: "A379 in both directions closed due to landslip between the A3121 / Hollowcombe Cross (Langbrook) and the B3392 / Harraton Cross (Modbury). Traffic is coping well. Diversion - via the A3121 Ugborough and the B3196 loddiswell towards kingsbridge."
