For the past few years, the Falmouth High School golf team has been knocking on the door in the Cape and Islands League, but has not been able to walk through it and head into the state tournament. This year, with one of the most talented and experienced groups that Head Coach Jim Brooks has had, the Clippers are looking to blast through the door with their long irons and putt their way into the state tournament.
“We have been trying to make a step in the right direction each year. Last year we had an individual qualify for the state tournament—Gavin Powderly—and this year we want to go as a team,” Brooks said.
