The following are excerpts from the Mashpee Police Department logs dated Thursday, August 21, through Wednesday, August 27. During this timeframe the department saw 840 calls for service, 77 motor vehicle stops, five arrest/criminal applications, 24 motor vehicle crashes, two K-9 call outs, two fraud calls, 13 alarms and nine EMS/assist fire department calls.

Friday, August 22

10:12 AM: Officer Erik Simonsen stopped a motor vehicle on Route 151 at the intersection of Market Street. Douglaston, New York, resident Ping T. Chung, 65, received a criminal citation for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license and a marked lanes violation.

6:42 PM: A two-car crash occurred at 250 Route 151. No injuries were reported.
