Nottingham Forest have “closed” a transfer deal for Juventus right-back Nicolo Savona.

The Serie A club’s general manager Damien Comolli confirmed a deal has been struck for the 22-year-old defender while attending the Champions League draw in Monaco on Thursday.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia , Comolli said: “We have just reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest for Savona, we can confirm it. The deal was closed this afternoon.”

Savona now looks set to join Douglas Luiz in moving from Turin to the City Ground this summer.

The Reds have brought in eight new additions so far this summer, but further ins and outs are expected in the coming days.
