A 12-year-old New York girl is among the alleged sexual exploitation victims in a series of lawsuits against Roblox that claim the popular video game platform is failing to protect its users from sexual predators.

A new federal lawsuit alleges the Schenectady County girl — an avid Roblox user since age 8 — was contacted online through Roblox by a man posing as a child, who proceeded to groom her and eventually coaxed her into exchanging phone numbers. He then texted her sexually explicit images and messages about "sexual acts he intended to do to her."
