The Thursday Murder Club is available on Netflix and draws inspiration from the debut novel in Richard Osman's Thursday Murder Club collection.

The writer is set to launch his fifth instalment in the series, entitled The Impossible Fortune, with enthusiasts eager to discover if additional books will receive screen adaptations.

Prior to the film's cinema debut, director Chris Columbus was questioned about the possibility of a sequel based on Osman's second novel - The Man Who Died Twice.

He responded: "Time will tell. It depends how many people see this film. We are in theatres for a week before it opens on Netflix. I encourage you to see it in a theatre. We shot the film as a cinematic experience."
