PORT ANGELES — Clallam County will host International Overdose Awareness day on Sunday at Port Angeles City Pier.

The free, family-friendly event will focus on grief, healing and connection from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The county will join communities around the world for the annual campaign to end overdose, reduce the stigma of substance use disorder and acknowledge the grief of families and friends left behind.

Activities will include: Resources for grief support, behavioral health, recovery and harm reduction, creative art and craft stations, quiet spaces for remembrance, Narcan training, music and light snacks.

Attendees can earn raffle tickets by participating in activities.

The City Pier tower will lit in purple after the event in honor of those the community has lost.
