Desperate couple ditch taxi in three mile motorway tailbacks and walk down hard shoulder to the airport

Desperate holidaymakers abandoned their taxi and walked along the motorway after becoming trapped in standstill traffic whilst travelling to the airport for a getaway to Greece.

Fearing they would miss their departure, Dean Louca, 37, and his spouse Gina, 39, were making their way to Luton Airport on August 26 when their cab became stuck in congestion. The London pair were travelling to catch a flight, but after roughly 20 minutes without any progress, they decided to take action – which involved abandoning their taxi.
