Rice , Hartford and Windsor each claimed field hockey championships last fall. Can these teams successfully defend their titles? Or will another team send shock waves throughout the state? Many of the Chittenden County contenders graduated several seniors this past spring, leaving Division I wide open after our top team.
There are also new divisional alignments throughout the state this year. Among the most noticeable changes in field hockey is that Bellows Falls and Mount Abraham dropped to lower divisions while St. Johnsbury and Burr and Burton jumped up to Division I from Division II. How will the divisional changes affect outcomes this year?
