It's Labor Day weekend and the start of a three-day holiday for students and many families. For those not hitting the road for one last beach trip of the summer or to see your favorite football team, here are a few events going on in the Augusta area.

Greenjackets baseball and fireworks

The Augusta GreenJackets will host the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers at 6:05 p.m., Monday, at SRP Park in North Augusta. There will be a Labor Day Luau and post-game fireworks. The Luau Picnic tickets are $30 per person.

Watch fireworks from the river
