South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon Ho is to preside over the jury at the 22 nd Marrakech International Film Festival.

The upcoming edition of the festival is set to run from November 28 to December 6. The jury awards the Étoile d’Or to one of the 14 titles in the international competition, which comprises first and second-time feature filmmakers.

“I look forward to sharing a powerful cinematic experience with the festival audience and reflecting on the true value of cinema,” said Bong.

The filmmaker won the Palme d’Or at Cannes and four Oscars with 2019 psychological drama Parasite , which become the first non-English language film to win best picture at the Academy Awards.
