DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Labor Day weekend is upon us. It's usually referred to as the "unofficial" end of summer.

However, warm weather is going to stick around for much of the next seven days.

Isolated showers are possible today and tomorrow across our western hometowns, but most of Central Illinois will remain dry.

Highs today through Monday will be around 80° or the low-80s with overnight lows in the 50s.

A strong cold front approaches Wednesday and could kick off showers and storms. This will be our best chance of rain over the next week.

It'll turn breezy and much cooler after the front. Highs by Thursday drop to the low-70s and a few highs in the 60s are possible Friday. Lows will fall into the 40s.
