MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich. — A man was injured Thursday night when he crashed his car into a tree, according to the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened at the intersection of 205th Avenue and Arthur Road around 7:30 p.m. The driver, an 82-year-old Big Rapids man, failed to turn and crashed into a tree.

He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor, deputies say.
