ELK GROVE, Calif. —
The city of Elk Grove is partnering with Sacramento Regional Transit to explore options for expanding transit service.
The goal would be expanding service from Cosumnes River College throughout the city, aiming to improve mobility and connectivity for residents.
"We have seen a lot of growth recently," said Kayley Lyons, senior transportation planner. "We're looking at ways to improve mobility options for our residents, better connect them to other opportunities in the region, such as jobs, health care, schooling, and also bring folks from the region into Elk Grove. And so we see high-frequency transit as an opportunity to do that."
The city is currently in stage two of its state-funded study and will undergo two rounds of feedback.
