The New Orleans area features several elite pass rushers and run defenders at the defensive end and defensive tackle positions.

While the area lost a five-star recruit to IMG Academy in Zyron Forstall over the summer, there’s still plenty of local talent lining up along the defensive line with multiple Division I commitments and LSWA All-State selections returning.

Richard Anderson , Karr, Sr. (6-4, 340)

“Big Rich” Anderson is an LSU commitment who had 10 sacks last season and was an LSWA All-State selection at defensive tackle. He recorded six tackles for a loss in Karr’s Division I select state championship win.
