Starfish will reopen at Gallego's in Stapleford

A new fish and chip shop called Gallego's will fill a gap left by the closure of Starfish chippy in Stapleford. The new takeaway will also serve German kebabs , peri peri chicken and burgers.

Signs have gone up at the shop which is located next to Subway and the Co-op in Hickings Lane but there's no indication of when it might open. Local resident Isaac Ashe is looking forward to the doors opening once again.

He said: "It was a bit of a shock when it shut down as Starfish, and it’s been sat there for ages now. We’d been wondering what would happen with it. It’s a busy little corner and it has a good car park for people to use so I hope the new venture does well."
