A new long-term provider has been appointed to lead Plymouth’s Community Equipment Service, which provides essential resources to help residents live safely across the city.

The service, which offers support to both children and adults, provides equipment ranging from walking and bathing aids to postural seating and profiling beds. It plays a crucial role in ensuring that residents can return home from hospital, maintain their independence, or take part in education and development programmes.

Cllr Mary Aspinall, cabinet member for health and adult social care, emphasised the importance of this scheme in supporting people across the city, saying “this service is hugely important, helping our residents to live safely at home”.
