The Midwest Kubb Championship will be held Saturday at Engstrom Family Park, Main Street and Millview Drive in Batavia.

It will be hosted by Batavia-based Energy City Kubb . Registration begins at 8 a.m. on site; you can also register online. The cost is $60.

The Scandinavian lawn game involves wooden blocks set up in a back row, batons, and a taller wooden block called the king. Teams toss their own kubbs for placement, try to knock down the other team’s kubbs, then knock down the king.
