French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz held a joint cabinet meeting between their two countries on Friday in the city port of Toulon.
Twenty ministers of their respective government have joined the two leaders at the Fort of Cap Brun, the headquarters of the French maritime authorities for the Mediterranean Sea.
The Franco-German Cabinet meeting aims at coordinating politics between the two countries at the highest level.
On Thursday evening, Macron and Merz had a bilateral meeting and a working dinner at the Fort de Bregancon, a presidential summer residence in Bormes-les-Mimosas, southeast of France.
