Sophomore Liam Jones and his partner dribbled the ball to the three point line during a basketball game in February, then made a pass to senior Garrett Seidel into the paint. Seidel drained an open layup to cheers from parents and the West Linn High School student section as the team hurried back to start defending.

But these weren’t just any student athletes.

Jones has cerebral palsy and spastic quadriplegia, which requires him to move around in a wheelchair.

His team featured a mix of students with physical and intellectual disabilities who play alongside partner athletes to help facilitate the game.
