You know how sometimes you think you’re just babysitting your neighbor’s cat, but then that cat happens to be mysteriously tied to Manhattan’s underworld network of crime, which unwittingly puts your life at risk? Yep, that’s just a totally relatable experience. It also just so happens to be the central premise of Darren Aronofsky’s latest project, Caught Stealing , which takes place in the ‘90s and centers around the character of Hank Thompson (Austin Butler), a former baseball player who accidentally finds himself in the crosshairs of New York City’s most dangerous criminals—all thanks to a cat. (Anyone else getting major Men in Black déjà vu vibes from this? No? Just me?) Also, for the record, this would never happen with a dog—just saying!
