CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A local soup kitchen in Charleston is set to end one of its services on Friday.
Manna Meal, which has been serving meals to Charleston residents for nearly 50 years, will stop serving breakfast in an effort to preserve its ability to continue serving lunch.
The non-profit sent out a release last Friday, calling on the community for help because its mission to serve was in jeopardy.
Manna Meal CEO Amy Wolfe told MetroNews after the release was sent out that they’ve seen challenge after challenge the past two years.
