A man is expected in court Friday after he allegedly shot and killed a 57-year-old father in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, prompting a neighborhood and nearby elementary school to go on lockdown Thursday morning.
Authorities said the victim had just dropped off his 6-year-old at Calvin Coolidge Elementary and was walking back home when he noticed the suspect spray-painting along a bridge on Jordan Pond.

“He saw a person on the bridge apparently with a can of spray paint, possibly tagging," Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early said. "He took a picture, that started an altercation.”
Police say the victim called 911, and while on the call, dispatchers heard multiple gunshots.
