The Toronto Blue Jays took a gamble at the trade deadline by adding starting pitcher Shane Bieber . Bieber was injured at the time of the trade, and it was uncertain when he would begin a rehab assignment following Tommy John surgery.

Fast forward a month, and ESPN insider Buster Olney believes he may turn out to be the best addition by any team at the trade deadline.

"When dust settles and we look back at the trade deadline, maybe the best deal made by any team in the sport, the Toronto Blue Jays trading for Shane Bieber who has come off the injured list in that first against Miami, and he was absolutely dominant," Olney said on the " Baseball Tonight" podcast .
