Who knew that the time-honored Starfleet mission statement to "Boldly go where no one has gone before..." would actually refer to the uncharted waters of the comedy genre? "Star Trek" has traditionally made a meal out of keeping viewers on their toes, never quite allowing anyone to settle into a familiar storytelling rhythm or routine.
